The Undersecretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Michael Kozak, assured that the official Nicolás Maduro is seeking a “secret” negotiation with the US.
He reiterated that the US supports opposition leader Juan Guaidó and ruled out that they are negotiating with the regime.
“The framework for the Democratic Transition proposes that Maduro leave now and that a transitional government designated by the elected representatives of the parties in the National Assembly hold new presidential elections,” he wrote on the social network Twitter after the past 31 of In March, his country will present a transition plan for Venezuela without Maduro or Guaidó.
The United States has imposed sanctions against Maduro’s cabinet to achieve his departure from power, however so far he refuses while Trump continues with his pressure plan to achieve the objective.
