    A car rammed a crowd that participated in a carnival parade in the German city of Volkmarsen, this Monday. According to initial reports by Kassel police, at least 15 people were injured.

    Eyewitnesses cited by the local press said it was a silver-colored Mercedes van that starred in the event, about 2:30 p.m. The vehicle would have rolled the crowd for 30 meters until it stopped. According to the police, the driver has been arrested.

    The city of Volkmarsen is a small town in central Germany, 185 kilometers north of Frankfurt.
    
    Dozens of ambulances, fire engines and police arrived at the scene to assist the injured, including several minors.
